On the morning of December 5th at 00:15 hrs. Tarrytown FD requested Hastings Ladder 22 to respond to a working structure on Martling Ave in a condo complex. Chief Schnibbe assembled a crew consisting of 5 members of L-22, 1-member of E-46, 2183 & 2184 who responded. The fire was mostly contained to the fire apartment with minor extension, smoke and water damage to the adjoining units. Regrettably upon initial entry by Tarrytown FD they found the sole occupant who succumbed to her injuries and died.

Tarrytown Fire Chief Frank Morabito credited the quick response by the firefighting personnel and other responding departments that helped contain the fire from further spreading to other homes.
