Hastings Fire Department Provides Coverage in Nyack

On Saturday, September 7th, the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department along with other Rivertowns fire departments provided fire protection in Nyack while the Nyack FD participated in the Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters Association Parade. This is a long-standing tradition between fire departments in the Rivertowns and Nyack FD.
If I am correct, the friendship of Jackson Hose Company #3 and Riverview Manor Hose Company #3 started in 1984 when both Nyack and Hastings-on-Hudson purchased Hahn Engines and these 2 Engines were on the Hahn factory (Hamburg Pennsylvania) assembly line right next to each other, both Jackson Hose & Riverview Manor sent representatives to the factory to give their apparatus a final Inspection, while at the factory the members began talking with each other and by the end of their visit they had become friends and promised each other they will keep in touch, I would appreciate it if someone would like to add something or correct something, thank you, stay safe !!!!!
